Camera

camera functions using toggles:

-toggle "1" picture size
-toggle "2" nightmode
-toggle "3" special effects
-toggle "4" self timer - unavailable for "video mode"
-toggle "5" flashlight

Video functions using toggles:

- toggle "1" video size
- toggle "2" night mode on or off
- toggle "3"cycles through the effects
- toggle "5" turns the light on or off

-Joystick up and down changes zoom (will work on the following modes ONLY)
-Video mode: 176 - 2x zoom & 128 - 2x 4x zoom
-Picture mode: 320 - 2x zoom & 160 - 2x4x zoom

How to unlock your K700

To unlock your K700, you must first of all get the following codes from your operator; IMEI number, Code CCK, Code NCK, Code NSCK, Code SPCK and the Phone Code. Once these codes have been recieved, press <**< to view your phone's unlock status. Your phone should now display "Personalized with MNCx" (x could be 2 or 3, does not matter). Then press "yes" then you should go onto a "Personalize" menu with "network" highlighted. Now press yes, and the phone should display "enter NCK" or one of the other ones (CCK, NCK, NSCK, SPCK) Then enter that unlock code. Then press "yes" and if done properly, the phone should display "Network unlocked". If necessary, you may need to restart your phone to search for the network.

Longer battery life

Upgrading the firmware on your K700, would greatly improve the life of your battery.

Pause ringtones and vibration without having to reject the call

Press the volume switch on the side and it will stop both the vibrate and the ringtone but it will not reject the call.

No more picture editing

When people send pictures to your T610, you will notice that some of it has been cut off. But with the K700, if people send you pictures, it uses a "best fit" option that fits the picture so that it will exactly fit the screen.

How to write SMS with one button

First go to Connectivity -> Wap Profiles -> highlight "Your WAP profile, whichever one you usually use" -> edit -> advanced -> change homepage -> change URL to "mailto:" then press OK. go back to the main screen and when you press the quick WAP button or left joystick you'll be able to write SMS way quicker.

Control your PC with your K700 via Bluetooth

You can control your PC with your K700. The K700 is a HID (Human Interface Device), an input device. You can find the conection files on your K700 here:

Go to (in K700 menu):
Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> Remote control

From the phone you can choose three different files to control your PC:
Desktop (to control your desktop)
MediaPlayer (to control your mediaplayer on your computer via BT)
Presenter (to control powerpoint presentations, i think)

Note: All K700 software (which is found on the software disk that came with your phone) should be installed for this to work.

*#06# Brings up your IMEI-number. Can be used to unlock your phone.

Slide show trick

When viewing a slide show pressing the left softkey (the one above the back button) pauses the slide show.

Turn backlight while screensaver clock is active

To turn the backlight on when clock is on, just press the volume key.

Make any recording as your ringtone

In entertainment choose the "Record sound"
record your sound and press save when done
you can press more, rename and give it a useful name
then go to settings, profile, edit profile and change the ringtone to the sound just recorded.

Note, to listen to your sound in the media player you need to move the file to the sounds folder.
after you have renamed your sound click on Recorded sounds, then more then manage files, move to folder and then sounds.

Press the volume switch on the side and it will stop both the vibrate and the ringtone but it will not reject the call.

Screensaver clock

Turn the screensaver clock on or off: settings -> display -> light -> automatic.

Quick connectivity

From standby, "more" will give you options for infra-red, Bluetooth, silent, phone status and shortcuts customising - on unbranded model.

No ascending ringtone

Note the ascending ringtone when turned off is removed, so ringtone starts straight after a short vibrate.

"Go to" letter in addressbook

Holding down the corresponding number on the dialpad will lead you to the corresponding name in your address book. ie: holding down #5 will lead to letter "j" on your book.

Go to the bookmark menu, without having to start an internet connection

Use the second icon on top row from left "internet services" as this doesn't connect to wap until you've entered an address or selected one of the links.
Once in the screen use "more" and "enter address".

Change radio station while the phone is locked

Noticed another use for the +/- keys though. If you set the radio playing and minimise it, you can lock your phone and then hold either of the +/- keys to change radio station. Quite useful if you're quite into the K700's radio .
